I am terrified. I hyperventilate if one crawls on me. It is stupid I know. Where I am, spiders can't hurt me. I don't know if it how they move or what. I am not even sure why I am afraid of them. Oddly enough I loved the movie Charlotte's Web when I was a kid. When I was a teen, I was in Pennsylvania, we were camping and when I went to go to bed there was a huge wood spider on my pillow. I thought it was a taranchala (sp?), it was huge. My friend just picked it up and threw it outside, and said "ahh its just a woodspider" she said it like she was getting rid of a teddy bear. Bizarre.

cannot stand the things ... when i was about 4/5 i was working in my grandpas garden helping him to stack logs when my arm got really itchy. When I looked down, my whole arm was black with little baby spiders. There must have been an egg sac on one of the logs and I brushed against it .... so at least my phobia has an actual reason!!!

It used to be I could not even sleep in a room that had one but I grew out of that. I now welcome house spiders but just not crawling on me LOL

I freaked out a few weeks ago though. I walked into the kitchen in our new house (which is in the woods) and there sat a spider that was the size of a tennis ball.

I hate spiders too! Woz only talking about them last night (my cousin brought the subject up) It's worse for me in the evenings because I can't get the mental image of them out of my head. Makes me real paranoid and then I start to look around for them!

A lot of people seem to be afraid of spiders, but I am not.
I always allow some of them to be active in a quiet part of the house.

AAAAAArgh ! I cant stand them and feel horrid for ages even when I've killed and feel even worse trying to get it on a glass or container to put it out the window that fear of the conatiner falling and the spider going on me is horrid. and my friend said that when you hovver them up they just crawl back out so don't hoover them just incase she is right .you are not alone.

Definately!!!

I had to get rid of one this morning so I introduced it to my cats and they dealt with it. I just put it outside when they were finished.

Sorry to gross people out but I hate them
