I have lived in Spain for a long time, my boyfriend and son are Spanish, so I have a lot of contact with them!!
I think that generally they are very nice people, although there are all sorts everywhere!
They are very laid-back, love kids and make every effort to be friendly to foreigners.
The only bad thing I would say is that they tend to love gossip, especially in the smaller towns.
In general, I think the Spanish lifestyle is much more stress-free and child-friendly than most other European countries.

As always this type of question is entirely spurious. Some Spaniards are nice, some are complete b*stards. Some are arrogant, some are humble. Some are generous, some are mean. Some are stupid, others are clever. Some of them are accountants, some of them are roadsweepers. Some are blond, some have brown hair. Just like any other nation on earth.

We have a Spanish cook at work, she is one off the nicest people I know, on the othere hand , I have come accross some very unpleacent Spanish people, there are good and bad evrey place, But I would say the Spanish are good people.

You can't really think that people are all the same just because they happen to share the same nationality?
Think about the people around you that share your nationality, are they all the same?
Stereotyping just isn't relevant these days, everyone is different.
Having said that, most Spanish people I have ever met are warm, friendly and straightforward.
AND they're really good at speaking Spanish....

I've met some Spaniards who are quite friendly, they are fun because they are so lively. But then I've also heard about all the racist Spanish football and Motorcycle racing fans, and that kinda gives out a different image.

Er, their just like the rest of us Europeans...if a little bit more chilled. I dont stand with Bull Baiting and the Matadors, i think thats a barbaric tradition the Spanish should ban...but otherwise, meh

I think most of them are cool but the ones you bump into on holiday are mostly arrogant and ignorant but hey anybody ever seen the irn-bru advert? Raoul i dive for da laydees!!!
