They have ruled out appendicitis with the three cat scans, and they have ruled out any possibility of a urinary tract or kidney infection. My ob/gyn found nothing. I have been evaluated by about 10 different doctors.

it does not hurt when i press as well. but the groin// and leg pain concerns me. i can barely live like this. also if anyone has any pain remidies let me know. i have tried ice, hot baths, excersize, etc. and i have tried eating lots of fiber cereal but i have had no bowel movement. can constipation (or anxiety) really make pain this severe in one localized area?

You said you've ruled out bladder/kidney stuff but have you been checked to see if you have a urinary tract infection? If that's the case, try drinking LOADS of cranberry juice before taking antibiotics. It really works! Hope this helps & you get better Soon.

If theyve done CAT scans, I cant see how it could be telescoping of the intestines, but it might be worth asking about.

There are many things that can cause this, but your situation sounds like my sons recent one. He had constipation, too.

Try getting some ex-lax, and call a massage therapist and ask if they can do abdominal massage on you, also. Explain the situation over the phone, and let them know you also have IBS, as well, and all your meds. There is a specific way to massage the abdomen to loosen the stools up, if they are clogged up in there.

Another thing you can also try, is a colonic. Its an irrigation method, of flushing out the hardened stools that have attached to the intestines. Its mildly uncomfortable, but no more so than a pap smear. It costs about 100 bucks, too. It might help soften any blockage up, and also might help clear you of IBS symptoms for a while, too.
I have IBS, too, and my stomach hurts when I wake up, too, but mine is on the left side. It is VERY painful, so I totally understand that. Try taking a couple tylenol, too. It helps me out a little.

Also, may I suggest a long hot bath every night for about a week? Be sure to have soft music playing, and a good book and some lavender scented candles. If there is any anxiety involved (and yes I have that problem too, its pretty normal) then maybe you need to find some way to relax and melt the tension away. Dont feel wierd about it at all. Stress can ruin your life, and we all get overwhelmed at one time or another.

Good luck to you. =)

I took the time to read what you have written. I am sincerely sorry that you are experiencing such pain. I am concerned about you. I know that many diagnoses are not correct, some can not be resolved. In your case, I believe that your persistence will produce a winner. Are you a religious person? Whether you are or whether you are not, it does not matter. I have been so depressed at times, then like a magic trick, I would put my hand into the Bible. The first thing that I read was, "God daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. I keep this thought with me each and every precious day. Then I found Psalm 35 to (Plead My Cause) and let God take over my concerns. True, it is long but so worthwhile. I read Psalm 4 for (Safety and Protection) and this protects me from the unknowns in my life. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

They don't need a CAT scan to check your appendix- they wouldn't even consider the waste of time or the cost to do it! Your doctor's praying for you? Where do you live? I mean like, when you're not out of your head? Hmmm... pain goes 'down' a leg, ending up in your groin- just where does it do a turn-around to travel back up to that sweet spot?

ANY quack doctor or otherwise can determine if a person has appendicitis if they present the precise symptoms you've described... likewise with the ectopic pregnancy idea, the sciatic nerve shooting down your leg (but back up your leg again to you groin?! Really!!!) Bladder/urinary tract infections?? Kidstuff to diagnose! Constipated???? Any doctor would know if you merely need to crap!! And you'd be given something (if necessary) to keep you on the toilet for days! Diverticulosis, people? Easily diagnosed! The symptoms are simply all mixed up and point to totally nothing, except for ONE thing... attention-getting tactics and/or excuses to not seek/keep a job! Not even hypochondiacs mix up their stories as horribly and poorly as you do!

GURL... you need a psychiatrist if you're not already seeing one and are just playing with people out here... find your much-needed attention from someone somewhere else...

uh... g'luck with the lobotomy--i've heard there's really no pain involved anymore, go in there with your head held high! lol

Has your doctor ruled out endometriosis? It is often hard to diagnose without surgery but the abdominal pain can be severe and is not necessarily close to the pelvic area as the tissue can spread throughout the abdominal cavity. You should talk to your gynecologist to rule this out. Also, just because scans don't show cysts doesn't mean they aren't there. I had 2 scans before my surgery that came up with nothing. I had the surgery anyway and they found 3 cysts, a fibroid, and a lot of endometrial tissue. if you don't feel well, don't let them tell you it's all in your head!

You said YOUR CONSTIPATED. THAT is what HURTS. You have to get the stuff out or you won't get better.

All the crap presses everything on everything else until it hits nerves and causes pain and guess what? A SIDE effect of Tramadol is CONSTIPATION. Stop taking it. If your bowels are moving, just not enough:
Get some colace and milk of magnesia. take it. if that doesn't work get some mag citrate. that whole bottle will do it. n nokidding read the directions. also if that last doesn't work get a fleets or ducolax enema and just do it. Warm compresses and warm drinks will help with the pain. WALKING will help you move your bowels GET UP off the couch

The problem is there are many things with similar symptoms. My Mom had your symptoms and had a kidney infection. My Dad had most of your symptoms and had appendicitis. I have had upper intestine blockages and partial blockages with extreme pain and constipation. Pain killers also make constipation worse. I had to drink 2 liters of Go-lightly, prescribed by a doctor to clean me out. Please call your doctor and ask him to send you to another doctor or find another one on your own. In my experience ER is not very helpful in these matters.

Has any one of your doctors ever thought that maybe you have a small blockage in your intestines, That is something that would not show up on an x-ray. If I were you I would go to another doctor as soon as I can and bring that concept up to him. Good Luck!! I hope you will get the help you need to feel better.

What happens when you press and release (suddenly) on the other side of the abdomin? This is typical of what a chiropractor gets to see, as a patient.. they have tried everything else without any relief.. may be time for you to have it checked out by one. Hope it helps.. surely can't be any more difficult than what you have been thru.

dont worry. this abdominal pain can be reduced by intake of Jeera water everyday atleast 4-5 times. it is purely due to constipation. your bowel movements are not properly trained. drink plenty of water and eat 3-4 bananas everyday without fail and any kind of fruit juice, preferably citrus fruits. you may try out abdomen exercises, just sleeping tight holding your abdomen or lifting your legs. probably this will help. i dont think you have any serious problem. make up your mind, develop will power and above all, pray to God Almighty, all your problems will be solved. good luck.
