I've owned two Toshiba laptops. My experience has been less than perfect. My first laptop got messed up in under six months. Luckily, I bought it from Costco, so I could return it. My second laptop (which I have now), has lasted me about a year and a half without any problems. Just recently, lines appeared on my screen. I'm in the process of solving this problem (thanks to Yahoo! Answers), and I might be able to fix it. Even though the price is very luring, you get what you pay for. I would recommend spending the extra hundred dollars or so to get an HP or Sony laptop. My next computer will be an HP or Sony, not a Toshiba.

Yes and no most likely. I have an M-45 and it's junk, been junk, it's worthless. My kids both have L-20's (or something like that) and they seem to work pretty good.
Only difference I notice is mine has extra hot keys for immediate CD play, email and inet access.

the newest models are fantastic helped my aunt choose one for her bday. its speakers are SWELL TOO!!!!
but nothing older than the new models
reasonable prices! just toshiba give you lots of "bloat software"
things you don't need just have someone who you know knows about computers get rid of the extra junk ;)

I have been using a Tecra 9100 for a couple of years now...maybe a little less...and love it. Have not had any problems with it whatsover. Not sure of what else to tell ya!
