depends if you are using it like a giant floppy disk (save right on the disk), or using some program to add to the disk (save on harddrive, use program to put on disk). The later, nothing is ever erased but just marked as 'dont use anymore'. isobuster will unmark deleted files. Don't write anything new on the disk and try it out, it's free
