Yes a man can love two women at the same time, just as a parent can love more than one child at the same time. Not all men are like that, and most women cannot accept or understand that. There are many reasons why a man might want to stay married while having a girlfriend. He could still be in love with his wife, he could be staying married for the sake of the kidds at the wife's own emotional expense. A married man who has a girlfriend sometimes has her just for sex, but deep in his heart he cares and loves his wife, but sometimes after many years of mariage a man gets too used to his wife and he feels and realizes that he is growing old and wants to have sex with a new woman while he still can, he might find his wife not as sexually attarctive as she once was. Sometimes having a girlfriend can make him happy, and this happiness can be benefitial to his marriage if his wife accepts the situation, her acceptance will make him love his wife more apprectiating her understanding. Some wives after many years of marriage can drive their men to looking for sex outside of marriage, too much criticism from the wife, a dull sexual relationship, low income and stress can all lead to that. After many years of marriage a man and a wife's sexual relationship can become boring, too many problems can make it worse. Most married men I know cheat on their wives, they have sex with other women, yet for them it is just sex, and when they return home to their wives, they put what they had done behind them and continue with their marraige. Most wives are unaware of that, it is when and if they find out that a problem takes place. Millions of married men have cheated on their wives and continue to do so, and their wives are completely unaware. Most wives wonder if their husbands still love them just as before, especially after many years of marriage, and especially when their husbands don't make love to them as frequently as they once had. It is very hard for a married woman to accept that and understand that, she will hurt bad.

sure. we all love lots of people at the same time, in different ways. the question is not can he love two women at the same time. the question is, can he love them the same way at the same time? not being a man, and never having been in that kind of a spot, i don't know. romantic love, however, tends to be too intimate and inclusive to allow for two romantic interests. however, assuming he can, the next question is, do the women know about it and can they live with it? whether he can or not, marriage is usually a relationship exclusive of "all others", and therefore, if he's not willing to exclude all others, he probably shouldn't be married.
marriage is very convenient though... so that may be why he wants to stay married

Sex.
When one is lazy, the other may be available.
Also, when wife grows older she becomes less attractive, physically so a younger gf compensates. Less physical attraction doesn't necessary mean he stopped to love the wife.
And yes, anybody can love many persons at the same time. Actually all humans should love everybody at the same time, then the earth would be a paradise and a great ***** party.

Because both women must complete him: his wife is obviously failing in some way that his girlfriend succeeds.
And yes, people...humans...are capable of loving more than one person at a time.

Because he wants his cake and eat it to. He feels that if he stays married if things don't work out with girlfriend he always has a wife to fall back on. I would file for divorce, no way would I put up with that crap. Don't allow him to demean you like that.

The girlfriend might not like to cook, clean and look after his ill mannered kids and nagging mother.

He's a jerk who doesnt understand wat love means. He is an unfaithful over leave him! No man can love 2 women at a time cos loving someone means giving the entire heart!
