Te Queen pays for a portion of the work needed doing and workers she has on staff but the money that she generates for the country far out ways any money that we the tax payer gives her and the work that she does for the country. She is a steady rock while others have been and gone she has been there through thick and thin and she will continue to do her job until she cannot that demands respect and should be given her.

God save her from the insults that she indures from her subjects.

It depends on which castle you're referring to. If it's Windsor Castle then it doesn't actually belong to the Queen and the public should pay for the repairs and up-keep for it. It's a national treasure and the oldest inhabited castle in the world. There was a fire in 1992, which I believe the Queen ended up paying to repair, but like I said, given that it doesn't belong to her, she shouldn't have had to pay for it.

However, if it's Balmoral Castle, which is the Queen's private estate, then she should pay out of her own pocket because it is her property. It just makes sense.

How else would the Queen pay for it? Doesn't all of her money come from the British taxpayers' pockets in the first place?

She doesn't technically own it--a lot of what she has is owned by the British government--she just gets to use it whenever she wants. She does have a lot of personal assets, but the castles aren't hers personally.
