Sometimes you can hold your nose, close your mouth, and try to blow the trapped air into your ear canals.

Try some eardrops (e.g. Otex) from the pharmacist or alternatively use some olive oil and a dropper.

DON'T use a Q-tip to clean out your ears - you risk pushing the wax further in.

The best solution is to have your ears syringed at the doc's. It's amazing - even if you don't think your ears are blocked.

Methylated Spirit is said to be a good cure. Or any wax solvent, but don't do anything without consulting your doc.

try pinching your nose closed and blowing through it or force yourself to yawn.
