the person i meant was a lawyer for merchant banker....with full education qualification....so,... should her attitude be an excuse, giving that she was sooooo busy , till she had to react in such a way?

If you and they are friends, family members, coworkers, customer and business or simply a wrong number, it's just plain rude to slam the phone.
If they slam the phone because you're a telemarketer or a religious proselytizer, you had it coming.

This indicates their mental state of mind and lack of proper education under a proper guide. They should understand what is etiquette and civilization.

Those kind of people really don't want to give you a chance to explain yourself, therefore, making them arrogant to the fact that they may be wrong, or that they don't want to have to deal with complexity.
