You're halfway there by acknowledging that you want to improve your standards. So hold yourself to a higher standard; start surrounding yourself with like-minded, positive people. Don't let anyone else's negativity bring YOU down. It's a very common thing we do to follow the path of least resistance, and it's much easier to complain about things then to repair or enlighten or help. It's absolutely possible to change-So how? Volunteer! I know we're ALL busy, but everyone can spare 1 or more hours per week to make a difference for others and for themselves. The biggest recipient of an act of kindness is yourself. It sounds self serving, but there is that little *ping* when you know you've done good!!!So figure out what moves you: animal shelter, food drive, meals on wheels, visiting a Senior home, being a docent at a museum, soup kitchen, scouting, parks/recreation. This is perfect because you're choosing what you really WANT to do, hence you'll be good at it, you'll meet a group of like minded people, you'll be fulfilling a need and very rarely will the organization tell you they don't need help, and most likely won't fire you! You can't help but be a better person when you realize that something you did that day or this week made someones/some thing's life easier/better/richer.

There are many my friend, there are many precepts, rules and advice that I can give to as admonitions, that I can list here for you to read and try to follow. But will this be just a futile attempt to change you, to intervene into your unique life without knowing what you are all about, what all your world mean to you, and how far you have come in you quest for life? It will be far better if you go to a library and read books of self-development, or books upon general human condition. At least then you will be able to choose for yourself. I do not want do any slightest thing to take you right to choose away from you.

I can tell you the number of the bus that goes to your favourite destination, I can also tell you its colour, and even the name of the driver but will all this be sufficient? You most certainly need to know where you catch your bus. You need to know the place where your journey should begin and where you come back for home time after time.

You are concerned about yourself this is good. But you need to make it the best that there can be for you to achieve what you can aspire to achieve in life. I cannot tell you anything new you can find everything yourself. It is all already within you. A process of reaching excellence is a journey of rediscovery. But will you be able to value what you will find. Will you be able to understand the value if I say - be you self!

Actually happiness is directed by People around you, whether its ur home, or office or anywhere. People make u feel better and make u worst. Problems are not people but what we choose to interact with. We can not change others but we can choose others according to our choice and interact only with them and avoid (remember not conflict) others as much as possible giving some execuse. U will be happy.

01 Leave the Job where u r not comfortable with ur boss or colleage.

02 Stay away from family if they keep on fightling

03 Select few shops in ur city who are good and helpful.

04 Select people (friends) who really listen to u and appreciate. One is enough.

You will see that ur 90% is solved. For rest 10%, u have to learn ignoring unpleasant talks, situations, people etc.

Since I do not know you in person, this is very hard to answer. If you have problems, you should become aware of them and then tackle them.
If you feel you need advice, seek it. See a counsellor and listen to what he tells you.
But first and foremost it is down to YOU and no one else to be a good person and do the right things. No one can do this for you, and even the best advice is only a hint of direction. You are the one who has to do the walking.
Once you have worked out what you want, go for it, and stick to it. That's the only way to achieve your goals.

Start with self-help books, they actually work. But you've got to stick to it, it'll take a while before you notice any changes.

Don't follow rules, they limit you, and most rules are made to keep us from growing (mentally)

Follow your own path, sod following these celebs, you know deep down inside what you wan't out of life. GO GET IT!!!!

One last thing, it is possible to change....

To be a becoming a better a person you first need to work out who you are, what you're good at doing and then build up on your strengths. You should evaluate how you handle certain situations, see if you could've done it any better and then work at it.
