yeah when i was in high school. i was speaking spanish with a friend of mine. some black girl heard us and said to us "fu#$5 mexicans ....you should go baack to mexico, w..b.... "
at that moment i understood the stereotypes of speaking spanish and the ignorance of some people.
i wanted to pull her hair .. believe me, but why wasting my time? the best way to respond racist commentaries is showing education.
i remember i said "i'm not mexican and if you don't know mexico is not the only place you can find people speaking spanish"

There are times we need to be careful. When I go shopping in China in a certain province, I am followed and watched, so I thought. So I picked up an item in a certain store to look at and three sales ladies were next to me in just a moment.
The best cure for this is to go to another establishment and buy the same of similar article. Then go to the store that watched you and show them the item you bought somewhere else.
The next time I passed the store that watched me, a sales lady went outside and asked me to come in and shop.
But when I was working in a supermarket when I was on summer break from the university in 1967, the boss told me to remove my apron and follow some black ladies. I removed the apron and walked down the aisle and told the ladies not to mind me, I was tasked to watch them; the ladies left the supermarket.
A few days after the boss fired me; I was walking to my apartment and was approached by two of the black ladies. They invited me to go to a Civil Rights Rally with them. They also bought me a nice dinner. After the passage of years, we are still close friends.

Well one time I was in this small town in California, and it was a predominantly White/Caucasian town, and I being Indian, everyone in that town stared at me as if they had never seen anything like me before and as if I was an alien or something. It was the first time in my entire life that I felt outcasted. Even when I went into a store to buy something, all the people in that shop and near by shops, stopped what they were doing just to look at me. It was kinda creepy to be honest.

Yeah, all the time......even in my 'friends' house, somebody was being openly racist....I guess doing Coke just brings out the worst in people. Oh well, it just doesnt bother me anymore coz they're the one with the problem, not me.

I think so...I am caucasion and at the library the other day my five year old was trying to make friends with two African American girls. One was about the same age as my daughter but her older sister told my daughter that she was sorry but her mom said that they could not play with her. I could be wrong but deep down I felt that it was because we were "white".

Hello,
Yes it really hurts because the european settlers in South africa, austrailia, new zealand america etc don't get so much grieft as we blacks in the west. It really hurts. I am not saying its only blacks that get racism comments it happens to orientals and indians even some native americans.

yes. my school has maybe 1000 students. three fourths of them are black. i am white. the blacks looked down on us whites because there were more. one time a few of them tried to prove they were better by trying to fight me in the bathroom.so i went with the flow(the was an audience of both races so i made a point. i fought back. i broke one arm, broke one nose, and flushed another one. THEN I GOT SUSPENDED FOR SELF DEFENSE.
