They all have different kinds of strengths and compliment each other so well that its hard to pick one. They dont have a cut and dry ace so people criticize their staff and call them overrated but thats not what its all about.
Mark Buehrle-this guy is great. He is real layed back and easy going. He also is great at eating innings and is very reliable. You can always count on him for at least 7 innings and thats great for the bullpen. He always puts the team in position to win and thats big.
Freddy Garcia-this guy is another inning eater. He is a day game and road specialist. This guy is lights out on day games and road games. He is a great tool to have for the playoffs. Hes another guy that always has his team in position to win games.
Jose Contreras-he seems to be severly overacheiving and Ill admit I am one of the skeptics but I think his getting out of the spotlight in New York has revamped his career and he has a few more solid years left.
Jon Garland- This guys hot and cold all the time. One day hell go out and dominate, the next hell get shelled. He is settling down now and just resigned for 3 more years. He is young and should have a great career with the Sox.
Javier Vasquez- This guy is new to the rotation and all sox fans had a soft spot intheir heart for El Duque after his magic escape from an inning against the Red Sox in the playoffs last year but he is another inning eater that protects the bullpen. he is pitching well this year.
Brandon McCarthy- this guy is being hyped up big this year and for good reason. He is young and hasnt pitched to his potential but scouts know his upside is huge. Unless the sox get a big name and trade him he will be the cornerstone of this staff soon.
Bobby Jenks- going round and round the carousel of closers the Sox use Jenks seems to be the real deal. He is very young but he got a lot of experience in the playoffs last year and can throw some heat. With some tutelidge frim Don Cooper he might be a great closer for years to come.

I have to say is, I think all the White Sox Pitcher's are the best. All of them have had their ups and downs but they work through all of that and when they are having a bad day the other teammates have their backs on the field. But I would have to say Contreras is the best and Mark Burley is right behind him. Garland needs to get back on track and Bobby Jenks is Bobby Jenks. He has a arm of steal.

Day in day out it's Mark Buehrle. But any of the 5 would probably be the #1 starter on most teams.

Contreras and Garland are having some struggles this year. Considering that, I think Mark Buehrle is the staff ace.

It's Brandon McCarthy. And I am taking the future into consideration when making the selection. He's the only untouchable pitcher on the staff.

Buehrle, no doubt.
Anybody can have a win streak, you could give up 9 runs a game and still win because of your offence, you can also give up just 1 hit on a home run, and stil lose the game because of no offence. W-L doesnt matter. WHIP and ERA are what matter, and Buehrle's are both very good.

Jose Contreras. He's had some struggles since coming off the DL, but he'll get back to his dominant pre-DL form soon I think.

Mark Buerhle,
He works fast often giving the hitter little chance to get a feel for his methods.
He also yields very few earned runs.
