Congratulations...I've heard some bizarre things on Answers since I joined, but that has to take my "Top Nonsense" prize.
Firstly, the woman is richer than the queen of England apparently. She needs us how?
Secondly, she's not just a book-machine, she's a human being with a real life, kids, a new husband and a life. You'll get the new book when it's ready!
Thirdly, if she rushed something to print that didn't maintain the standard she's set, and which, let's not forget, has been largely single-handedly responsible for switching a new generation of kids on to the pleasure of reading, the fans would be the first people to accuse her of letting them down. Quality is more important than speed of delivery.
After all, if you don't want to read her, no-one's forcing you to, but the quality of the product will drag you back whenever it's published. Won't it?

I think that it takes time and care to weave stories as intricately as J.K. Rowling does ... and not only does she have to weave a tale and tie up loose ends in one book, but she has to link seven books together to make a cohesive set, and that's just not easy to do. I want to read the 7th book just as much as anyone else, but I kind of want it delayed a little bit, that way the series won't be done as quickly.
Oh, and I can name another author that has had that many (actually MORE) major novels published in the span of a decade - Stephen King.

I think she wants to do everything in her power to write the best story possible, and if i have to wait a little longer.....then so be it.
Think about this for a moment. When Book 7 is released in just over one year's time, she will have released seven *major* novels in a span of 10 years. Do you have any idea just how *huge* an accomplishment that is? Can you name another author who has written as many novels as good as hers in such a short span of time? I doubt it.
Book 7 is the most important in the series.
I want her to get it *right*.....however long that takes her.

i used to think she was good, but then she started talking about killing so many people in the last book, so as to not allow another future writer to carry on the story. That seemed to say something about her personal ego. The story is great and will always be great, what are you afraid of, if someone else wants to try and copy your original story they will be know as the person who copied your original story, who really respects that. And writers are very creative so even killing the main characters doesn't mean someone cant try to revive them in some fashion. The fame may have clouded her personal judgment.

Erm excuse me, but J.K Rowling happens to be human too and she's got a family and children to take care of- so she's obviously got her priorities like we all do. So pardon her, if she can't write books to suit the public. =S
Sheesh...

I think she is great. Why should she keep working when she is now a billionaire? She can have another career, travel or do anything she wants. She is the perfect example of a success story!

I think she is a talented author... However, teaching children that actually practicing witchcraft and sorcery is ok and fun, in my opinion, is not cool. However her book releases and their timing, that's her agenda, not ours. I don't want anyone to get all upset about my knocking witchcraft and sorcery, it's just my personal stance in regards to my faith. I think there are other ways for my children to expand their horizons and use their imagination, without getting caught in the innocent deception otherwise known as Harry Potter...

Well I'm not agreeing with her, but most people think when you weild that much 'power' (aka: publicity and fame) you can do anything you want. But actually it doesn't bother me coz I like Harry Potter.
