i mean like literally vibrate like glass or something solid does during an earthquale. not sway back and forth really.

all of the molecules in a liquid are always vibrating. That's why the material isn't solid--the connections between the molecules are so weak that the vibrate and flow past each other all the time. When heat up a liquid, some of the molecules vibrate so much that they fly off of the main body of liquid. This is what happens when you get bubbles when a liquid boils.

yes they can, even though liquid cells are not so close together as solid cells they still vibrate at a different frequency. Try dropping a pebble in a bowl of water, the 'waves' created are nothing more then repeated vibrations from the movement of the pebble. Therefore, waves, are just vibrations.

Think of the microwave oven. It makes the water molecules to vibrate to produce heat. So yep liquids do vibrate.

yes. it does even liquids are made up of atoms. they have non-uniform kinetic energy in steady state and so, they don't show vibrations in such a state. but if some definite amt of energy is given to it from outside, these aoms start vibrating in oe direction and thus make the entire liquid do the same....

hope u r satisfied...

As long as some form of energy passes through the liquid, vibration is occurring...tom science

You are assuming glass is a solid... When it is not completely. If you have ever notices, after about 100 years glass droops, or sags. A solid would not move. ;)

yes, they vibrate. have you seen a wave? fine . just think why waves in water are formed and not on the desk in front of you? you will get the answer simply!

Yes. Glass *is* a liquid -- just a very viscous one.

Liquids vibrate. I dunno about the frequency, but if you tap a glass of water, the water moves bacl and forth or 'vibrates'

Fish can hear. "Sound" is the sensing of vibration.
