I live right next by a major street, where people illegally race starting at 1:00 am to 3:00 am, when everybody is supposed to sleep. This is very disturbing, and living in Indonesia, where people does not respect the law, this practice has been going on and on even with police patrols or sirene. They usually hide, and come back after they didn't see the police cars. Any ideas on how to deal with this? Talking to them won't work because they gamble on these races, and thus some may have made it their lifestyle.

tip the cops off what time it starts them maybe they will do a stake out.

Take a long roll of cloth and put tacks through one side so they stick out the other, or glue glass onto it. When you hear them, go out when they have gone down the other end of the street so they can't see you. Roll out the cloth across the street and go back to bed.
Another way is to put up a wire (or fishing line) across the street about four feet off the ground, but that's really nasty!

Take your garbage cans and put them in the street. Create your own signs that say....NO ILLEGAL STREET RACING. You have to something that lets them know that SOMEONE is watching them and doesn't like what's going on. That could scare them away enough to find another place to race.

Spray the street down with water, and put out thumbtacks. That ought to stop the fast and furious wannabes.

At your place if there is no law then go on ahead man go and drill the road take your neighbor's with you.

A chain or aircraft cable, from house to opposite house ,at throat level..........tends to slow them down. Make sure they are properly anchored.

put somehitng on the street thats slippery like ball bearing balls. so they fall and die and dont come back
