Ok it is very simple.
First, subtract the five. This leaves you with -x/2 + x/3 = -4.
Work on the left side first.
Find a common denominator, in this case it would be 6.
Multiply the -x/2 by 3 to get a 6 on bottom. Your new fraction should be -3x/6.
Multiply the x/3 by 2 to get a 6 on bottom. Your new fraction should be 2x/6.
You should have:
-3x/6 + 2x/6 = -4
NOW, add your fractions together.
-x/6 = -4
To get rid of the 6 on bottom, you have to multiply BOTH sides by 6.
(6) -x/6 = (6) -4
You should get:
-x = -24
Divide both sides by -1, to get X alone.
x=24

-x/2 + 5 + x/3 = 1
-3x/6 + 30/6 + 2x/6 = 1
multiply both sides of equation by 6
6 x -3x/6 + 6 x 30/6 + 6 x 2x/6 = 1 x 6
-3x + 30 + 2x = 6
change sides to make it easier for u, and minuses to bcom pluses
3x - 2x = 30 - 6
x = 24
======
If u want to be sure, chk the equation using 24 instead of x;
-24/2 + 5 + 24/3 = (-12) + 5 + 8 = 1

-x/2 +5 + x/3 = 1
in this sum be have to find out the value of x
so first try to do number of right side and alphabet on left hand side
-x/2 + x/3 = 1 -5
take LCM of 2 and 3
(-3x + 2x)/6 = -4
-x /6 = -4
-x = -4*6
-x = -24
so the value of x = 24 ans

As many hav shown
Take LCM (i.e. 6) and multiply the whole equation wth 6.
u will get -3x + 30 + 2x= 6
Thn do ur math, -3 + 2 soo... = -1x
and take 30 to other side so it bcome -30, agn do ur math
-30 + 6= -24
The eq thus bcomes -1x = -24
take out the minuses
and viola u got x= 24!

Solve,
-x/2 + 5 + x/3 = 1
Move x to RHS, numbers to LHS,
5 - 1 = x/2 - x/3
4 = 3x/6 - 2x/6
4 = x/6
x = 24 (ans)

-x/2 + x/3=1-5
The common denominator is 6.
Multiply -x/2 by 3 and multiply +x/3 by 2 so you will have common denominator 6. Also multiply right side by 6.
Therefore,
-x/2(3) + x/3(2) = -4 (6)
-3x+2x=-24
-1x= -24
x=24

-x/2 + x/3 = 1 - 5
solving the left hand side, using LCM ( Least common multiple)
(-3x + 2x)/6 = -4
-x/6 = -4
-x = -4 X 6
-x = -24 implies x = 24

-x/2 + 5 + x/3 = 1
bring all the integers to RHS and let the algebra remain at LHS..
-x/2 + x/3 = 1 - 5
for LHS, find the common denominator of both fractions (i.e. 6)..
for RHS, evaluate 1 - 5
-3x/6 + 2x/6 = -4
for LHS, evaluate both of the numerators.. (-3x + 2x)
-x/6 = -4
Bring the denominator of LHS to RHS...
-x = -4 * 6 = -24
Remove the negative sign(by multiplying both sides with (-1))...
x = 24...
