you should get microsoft for mac.. just the basics, like microsoft word, excel, powerpoint.. if you want a mac laptop, i wouldnt get the wimdows for mac.. because that defeats the purpose of having a mac.

I have an ibook 14 that I bought last year, and have found it to be an excellent computer. Easy to use, and never have to worry about viruses. Also, I never get spyware, as it can't get past my firewall. With the new dual core intel Macbooks out there, this is a highly valuable laptop, and I kind of wished I had waited. I couldn't recommend it more.

There is a text editing program that comes standard on all macs, so you should be fine. They also have spreadsheet programs, and basically everything that you have for a pc. You can also get virtual pc software, which lets you run windows programs on your mac.
