The Creator left innocent Adam and Eve at the garden and advised not to eat the Apple. He had no time to explain the consequences.
Is it not like leaving a baby in a sweet shop and advising not to eat any?

That was the whole point about the apple. God was testing Adam and Eve but they fell into the snake's temptation. If God had told them, they wouldn't have and we will not be talking about it today which will had made this world a boring place.

First,, he did not advise them - he warned them! God gave them a garden of Eden, a Paradise where they had to do no work, would never die, and live without sorrow, regret, shame or hardship. Then He gave them a freedom of choice. Finally He allowed temptation (the serpent) to dwell in the tree of knowledge to test their loyalty and obedience, and they chose to yield to the temptation and disobey his command. The penalty for their disobedience was to be cast out of the garden, work for their food, shame, regret, sorrow and mortality.

So, you see they were not innocent.

You forget, the serpent was telling Eve to eat,
because she would know what God knows. :-(
God told them what trees they could not eat from.

Your theory is one that people have a problem with.
NO, DON'T DO IT.
Certain people, your parents, Teachers, your
Boss can say, " Don't, or no to you", and not
need to give a reason why. It's because they
said so. That's called obeying.

Delayed Gratification!! If they had listened instead of acting on their impulses then they would have been rewarded with much more than a simple apple. Its a very well illustrated story of Delayed Gratification.

or is it like Pandora's box, where you could do anything except open that box? Only in this case Adam and Eve had fair warning that bad things would happen.

A simple story created in a simpler age, but the moral is about self-control, and the nature of man to always want what we know we shouldn't have.

No because adam and Eve did not know sin at that time, they were not like us, with that instinct to do the one thing your not allowed to. They were tempted to do it not by themselves but by the serpant/devil
