wat is a good birth control to start off with .. if u never been on it before?

i want to get on birth control but i never had it before im about to be 18 but i still dont want my mom to no im goin to be on birth control .. cause she still denies that im even doin anything . so wat would be something good

if u can go to see a doc who can do some blood tests and tell u what pills to use. if not, use condoms. they are safest as yet. however, don't take pills without doc's supervision, no meter that they work for all other people, it can cause hormonal dis-balance. that means getting fat, acne, or even lose period

Ina is right. Don't try this without a doctor's supervision. You can go to the school counselor and ask her to help you get a doctor's appointment so everything is confidential. Word from somebody that has been there and done that. A Proverb says that the things that are done in the dark will be brought out in the light. I was having sex with my boyfriend in high school (he's now my husband), and my mom found out some way. It was a way bigger deal when she found out on her own than it would have been if I had just told her. So be truthful with your mom. She might be more supportive than you think. She'll want you on birth control anyway and it will be so much easier on you to not have to hide it. Don't be disrespecting her house either though.

the shot.. that way you don't have to take the pills everyday and less chances of your mom finding out.. you could get the patch but she could see that.. so i would go with the shot.. if I'm not mistaken its 2 times a year.

I was getting on the nuva ring before i found out that i was pregnant....but its just a ring that you insert into your vagina for 3 weeks and take it out for 1 week and you should have your period that week..you can have sex with it in also
