The idea that the pre-flood race lived ~800 years lifespans; at the flood remnants went up Himalaya Mtns, into caves where they got hopelessly lost and developed an ongoing advanced civilization there. Legends of Shangrila in Nepal. Bigfoot being an animal which is also part of that. Anyone seen information?

Sorry man, but it sounds like a fairy tale. Did you know the Flood Myth was in the Sumerian texts, from about 8000 years ago and may coincide with a flood caused by the collapse of an ice dam near the great lakes area of North America after the end of the last Ice Age, that caused the worlds oceans to rise dramatically.

Read away there are more answers to this hypothesis than there is popcorn in the universe. Every culture ancient that is has had its own way of explaining events, occurrences, and down right frightening events. One must realize that the educated mind of yore is not the same as today. Ancient man as his knowledge grew, his questions out spanned his ability to comprehend, so myths and legends and tales were told to explain the unexplainable. Then as now the Priest, Shamans, Kings, Chiefs, and so forth (Politicians and greedy butt heads) saw immediately that holding the answers to the unknown was power and with power came domination which allowed the above listed to do as they pleased.

it is possible that mysterious creatures thrived in caves in the mountains and below the ground,but they are mystikal beings and not physikal humans!in the philippines they are called ermitanio(hermits) and diwata(fairies) other versions of terms are used but i forgot.
