most nose bleeds are not serious. Some people get them due to previous injuries such as a small bump on the nose. The skin tissue in the nose is very delicate and once it is scared, ripped or torn,it can take several years for it to completely heal. This will cause nose bleeds on a regular basis.Other causes of nose bleeds can be from allergies. If you have a common cold and it turn into sinusitus then you can have a nose bleed.hayfever can also cause it.If it lasts for more than 30 minutes or so then I would recommend you seeing a doctor. Also remember to tilt your head forward and never backwards because the blood can run down and into your throat and if you swallow any of it,it can make you very nausiated. Also hold a peice of tissue over your nose and squeeze it together for a few minutes which will allow the blood to clot. After it stops,If you blow your nose right away to clear it can cause it to start bleeding again so wait at least 30-45 minutes for that.

good luck

The most common causes of nosebleeds are:

* Low humidity. Hot and dry climates can dry out the nasal cavities.
* Nasal trauma. Injuries to the nose can cause bleeding. Excessive nose picking can also injure the interior of the nose.
* Cold, allergies, and sinus infections. Excessive nose blowing and irritation to the mucous membrane can cause bleeding.
* Medications. Bleeding can be triggered by Certain medications, particularly those with anticoagulant (or blood thinning) properties.

One reason would be is a hot environment. Blood vessels in the nose ruptures due to extreme heat that cause nosebleeding. Another one is trauma, when you pick your nose or worse when you have nasal polyps.
