There were huge problems in the USA with Paypal a while ago. They got taken to the cleaners by chargebacks and responded by holding funds and taking money from accounts without good reason. Are there any signs that the problem is solved ? Or that it is an issue over here in the UK?

I think you just have to remember to cover your own a55!

Be honest with descriptions and always use registered delivery services. At least that way you have a defense if things go wrong.

When I had problems a few months back they were great. I even rang their help line and got to speak to someone. (rare these days!)

Just be careful with hoax e-mails pretending to be PayPal and asking you to click the link and log in with your details.

The way to tell is that they refer to you as "customer" or "member" whereas PayPal use your real name in any correspondance. I had one the other day, luckily I was aware of the scam and reported it.

yes,of course...the thing is you must be careful in giving your details to people who are posing as working for paypal who might send you an e-mail asking you to verify your detalis with them.check the site if it is really from paypal or check if it is secure when doing transactions, secure means address must be https, http with s meaning it is a secure site.i've been using my paypal account for 2 years now & there's no hassle...
