You need to connect your cassette player to your PC.

Get yourself a Y-cable that has two RCA jacks on one end and a headphone jack on the other. You can find them at RadioShack or just about any retailer that sells electronics. On the PC side, connect it to the audio input on your sound card.

Then you can use any recording software you may have to make a WAV file of incoming audio (you can use Sound Recorder in Windows if you don't have anything else).

All that's left to do is to use CD-writing software like Roxio or Nero (which probably came with your CD burner) to make a CD out of the files you've made.

simple...you first need a both sides stereo plug cable. then u connect one side to the headphone jack of the cassette player and the other to the mic input on your computer... then u play the cassette and on your computer record what u hear with the sound recorder program... after that save your recorded sound in wave format and the rest is just writing it onto CD... anything else u wanna know or if its not clear enough let me know ...
