No, not really!! There's always a catch. Like if you get an ad that says you could win a free laptop, they want you to complete two or three offers before you get the free laptop. Some educational web sites are free, like if you want to read poetry, or if you want to find info about certain things.

Yes, I use almost 100% free and legal software. However, almost everything that you see advertised as being free is almost certainly not free or has a "catch". Think about it, no business would pay money to take out an advertisement for goods or services that they were giving away free!

Once you get past the cost of your ISP, yes. There is a lot of Freeware and sites that have information for free. Just watch out for spyware in some of the Freeware.
