My guess is that when Snape changed sides from Death Eaters to the Order, Dumbledore made him take the Unbreakable Vow to protect Harry at all costs. Thats why he saves his life in the 1st and 6th Book. Voldemort knowing this gave the task of killing Dumbledore to Draco. So i think in Book 7 Harry will kill Voldemort (maybe with Snape's help) and the final duel will be between Snape and Harry. The outcome is a mystery to me but he may have an accomplice in the duel. Either James Potter and Sirius Black will be revived.

What do you think?

I've given this exact same answer about a dozen times now... lol

Ah... Do you have all day? This may be a bit unorganized, but I'll try to include everything I can think of.

First off, I do think that Hogwarts will remain open, but Harry will follow through his plans and not attend, although he may visit the castle for access to the many resourses the school has, if you know what I mean.

I think that when Harry and co. visit Godric's Hollow, they will find something significant involving the horcruxes. Maybe Regulus (who I believe is RAB) was in contact with the Potters around the time, and no one else knew about it...? Oh well. That's just a theory.

Okay, I'm going to get the topic of ships out of the way. A lot of people think that Ginny will be all upset and resent Harry for breaking up with her at the end of HBP. I STONGLY disagree. I think that she knows Harry well enough to realize that this is the best thing for him. If he had to spend his time worrying about Voldemort finding out about their relationship, I don't think he could really focus on his... um... mission, for lack of a better word. I think that she really cares about Harry, and that means she's willing to wait for him, as hard as it is for him to hear that.

I think that Ron and Hermione will get together at the END of the book. There have been WAY too many clues for the ship for it not to happen, but I think that they are too dedicated to helping Harry right now to want to be involved in something like that now.

As JKR has said that it would be easy to figure out what (or rather, where) one of the horcruxes is, I'm convinced that the locket that was found in Grimmauld Place was the real one. Again, this fits with RAB.

I think that there is a good possibility that either Sirius or Dumbledore is not really dead (and will, therefore, come back) but I doubt that they both are. The evidence that Dumbledore isn't dead seems to make more sense than with Sirius, so I think that's more likely. I'm not saying that I think this WILL happen, I just wouldn't be surprised.

Wormtail will kill Greyback. I'm almost sure of it. I know JKR squashed the theory about him killing Lupin, but that just sort of ensured this theory in my mind. I think that he will kill Greyback to save Harry, possibly sacrificing his own life.

I thought that Harry was going to die until I read the sixth book. As stupid and/or cheesy as it sounds, I think that Harry dying would really mess up the "love conquers all" theme... So, basically, I think that Harry will kill Voldy, and he will survive. I'm sure that he will have some new sort of loss though. Or maybe he's had enough pain already... argh, I can't make up my mind! Okay, one or the other.

I have two main (and completely separate) predictions for Percy. The first possibility is that he will do something for his family that makes himself look extremely bad... but benefits them. I don't know how else to word that. The other possibity is that he suffers a major blow, possibly even gets sacked from his job, and comes crawling back to the Weasleys. Basically, I think he will redeem himself, but it will cause some major embarassment that he will have to overcome.

JKR said that we would find out what Dudley's worst memory was. I personally think that it's something really stupid, like when Hagrid gave him the pig tail. But maybe that's just me.

I'm completely confused about Snape. Basically, I think it could go two ways: Snape didn't really kill Dumbledore, he just made it look like he did, so he's really good guy, or he did kill him, and he's evil. (I don't really believe in all that "Dumbledore told him to do it" crud.)

By the way, JKR has said that James (and Lily) will NOT come back. Or at least, she said that we will never see a living form of them.

I don't think snape is a loyal death eater, he had no choice on the balcony, he was surrounded by death eaters if he didn't act Dumbledore would die AND he would die because of the 'unbreakable vow' ( if Malfoy couldn't do it Snape had to). I thgink Dumbeldore knew that Snape had made the vow and when he begged " Severus , please" he wasn't begging for his life *(how unlike Dumbeldore would that be?) he was begging for Snape to kill him. Snape is now in a situation where he's trusted above all others by Voldemort, a possible huge key to his downfall and death. Voldemort has also Wormtail as a trusted ally, because Harry saved wormtails life in book three and voldemort was 'reborn' with the flesh of a willing servant that had a great magical dept to Harry; when Harry is describing the rebirth of Voldemort to Dumbeldore and Harry tells him about Pettrigrew cutting off his hand Dumbelore smiles a "triumphant smile" !
Draco is now in an interesting position, he would certainly be killed by Voldemort. He showed that he was not truly evil, but a sad reflection of his upbringing, I think Draco has some important part to play yet. Dumbeldore did seem very keen to 'save' malfoy.
The horcruxes will be systematically destroyed, What the last horcrux is I don't know. I think Voldemort would definetley of planned to make the final one when he murdered Harry, but whether or not he managed this I can't really tell. Is Harry the final Horcrux (the scar?), was Voldemort truly alone that night (he seems to like going around in a gang)

Well JK said that she is gonna kill 2 of the lovable characters in book7 recently. I think that dumbledore may come back alive. That snape will actually try to kill Harry. Hermione , Ron, Lupin may have an important role to play in book 7 perhaps. I feel that the final duel will be between Harry & Voldemort resulting in both's death . As u know JK wishes to end the series.

There are so many possible things that could happen in the 7th and final book. But I know that I'm sure about one thing: Harry will kill Voldemort, and I think that it'll come at a cost. Everything else, all the little details.. I have no clue about, and I really don't mind, because then I'll easily be able to accept what JKR writes. :)

The Release Date: Many people think that book seven will be released on July 7, 2007 (07.07.07), because the number seems to be of important magical significance in throughout the series. While this is still a rumor, it is of course a posibility. In my opinion, I find it very unlikely because of the release date of the fifth movie. It is set for July 13, 2007. I don't think that the book and the movie would be released so closely together. There would be a fight for publicity.

R.A.B: I think that R.A.B. is Sirius' late brother, Regulus Black. He was once a Death Eater, a supporter of Voldemort, but was killed shortly after joining because he wanted out. I think that before his death, he stole the real locket Horcrux, tried to destroy it, but ended up at his childhood home, Number 12, Grimmauld Place. There is evidence of this in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. On page 116 of the American Edition, "a heavy locket that none of them could open" is mentioned. Now that Harry owns Grimmauld Place, I believe that he will discover it the next time he goes there. Here is what J.K. Rowling had to say about R.A.B. in an interview with Melissa Anelli and Emerson Spartz:

MA: R.A.B.

JKR: Ohhh, good.

[All laugh.]

JKR: No, I'm glad! Yes?

MA: Can we figure out who he is, from what we know so far?

[Note: JKR has adopted slightly evil look here]

JKR: Do you have a theory?

MA: We've come up with Regulus Black.

JKR: Have you now?

MA: Uh-oh.

[Laughter.]

JKR: Well, I think that would be, um, a fine guess.

Dumbledore Dead or Alive: I think that without a doubt, Dumbledore is dead. He fell off the astronomy tower, and was blasted off with the killing curse. Dumbledore, no matter how great he was, was no match for an Unforgivable Curse. I don't believe he was prepared to die that night. Dumbledore's funeral was written with such passion and closure, that I feel it would be extremely cheap for the author to bring him back and go, "Gotcha, everyone! I tricked you. Sorry for giving you all hardcore fans go nuts and making you believe Dumbledore was really dead!" J.K. Rowling gives evidence of his death in the same interview with MA and ES:

JKR: Yeah, well, I think if you take a step back, in the genre of writing that I'm working in, almost always the hero must go on alone. That's the way it is, we all know that, so the question is when and how, isn't it, if you know anything about the construction of that kind of plot.

ES: The wise old wizard with the beard always dies.

JKR: Well, that's basically what I'm saying, yes.

I feel as though this issue shouldn't even be argued.

Snape Good or Evil: I have no idea! There is so much evidence on both sides of the equation.

Draco-- Will he be redeemed?: I think that Draco will become a tragety. I think that Lucius will live, but his punishment will be that he witnessess his only son's death. He'll realize all of the horrible things he's done, and will live to a horrible, old age with the memory of his beloved dying son.

The BIG Question-- Will Harry defeat Voldemort?: I think that it is almost definate. He has to. The Harry Potter books are part of a certain genre, and that's what the rules are. Good overturns evil. How Harry will do this, I have no idea. None of us do. My best guess is that it will have to do with Harry's power of love. I'm not even convinced that Harry will physically kill Voldemort. Dumbledore never taught him many defensive spells or told him that the only way to get rid of Voldemort was to use the Avada Kedavra. For one, we know that they cannot duel with each other, as we found that out in book four. I have a feeling that JKR will surprise us with such an amazing ending. Like she's said, no one has ever guessed the ending to the Potter books exactly.

Will Harry Live?: Hmm... I'd like to say that he does. On the other hand, it is completely possible that JKR will kill him off in his battle against Voldemort. We just don't know :-(

Here is a list of people besides Harry that I think might perish.

Ron: Besides being Harry's best mate, we haven't really seen him prove himself in times of danger and battle. He showed his strengths back in Book 1 when during the giant chess match during the hunt for the Philosopher's Stone. There is a theory that Ron will sacrifice himself for Harry in the final match against Voldemort.

Pettigrew: Do I have to explain it? Let's see... He betrayed the Potters, he helped Voldemort get his body back, and is an all-around bad guy. I think it's time to go, and that the life-debt that he has to Harry will be involved somehow.

Draco: I think that apart from being "bad", Draco is really a tragic character. His family are Death Eaters. He's got a lot to live up to. I got the kind of feeling that he was forced in the Book 6 to serve Voldemort. All the stress he underwent, the frustration, the anxiety... I mean, the poor boy was misguided. Remember that he is only about 17. People can make horrible mistakes when they are at that age. Unfortunately in Draco's case, it might cost him his life. He's in too deep.

Professor Trelawney: I think there is a possibility of her death in Book 7. She's always predicting how people will die, and seeing strange, dark omens everywhere. I think that is a kind of subtle foreshadowing. She sees death everywhere, why can't it be hers? I just wonder how this would play out, and how important it would be to the actual plot.

Percy: Hmm... Anyone sure which side he is really on?

i think hagrid and lupin will die

i think whoever left their initials in the last book will play an important role

maybe dumbledore and snape cooked up some brilliant plan to make it look like he was killed...or maybe dumbledore needed to die to help harry when it comes down to the duel between him and voldemort!

gosh..i dont know..so many possibilities....

i love the series though...i just dont want anything to happen to ron or hermione :)

I think that Dumbledore is not really dead. There was soooooo much talk about faking deaths and such in the last book that I think Dumbledore faked his own death. I think he will come back and help Harry seing as how Voldemort is resting pretty easy thinking Dumbledore is dead.

I honestly don't have any idea. JK is strange like that. She keeps you guessing ..and when you think you've got something figured out, you are totally taken aback.
I think Hermione is going to be the key to defeating Voldemort.
There have been so many points, but that's just a theory. I think Snape will die in the 7th book as well. It's a hunch.

one possibility is that harry and voldemort will kill each other off, but in trelawny's prediction for one to live the other must die.

another is Mr. and Mrs. Weasly will die.

or a more obvious choice is Hermione and Ron would die.

maybe Remus and Hagrid.

or the newly appointed headmistress of Hogwarts.

its any ones guess really but the one i think most likely to die out of the two is Ginny Weasly the girl harry feels strongly about.

I think it is going to br Harry agaainst Voldy at the end, but I think you are right about someone saving his butt in the final battle. Snape is a good choice. I don't think Dumbles made him take an unbreakable vow though.
