I grew up in the 1980s but I still think the good old days are the 1950s. The 80s are ok, though--way more ok than the 90s or today. Peace.

When today's youth grow up, these will be the good old days. I think that most adults think of their childhood as the good old days.

For people in their teens, they may look back and say these were the good old days. For people in their 50 to 80's, it looks like the prelude to hell.
