How much should I feed my fish? This too will vary depending on what type of fish you have and how many, but as a guide, feed only as much as the fish will consume in 2-3 minutes. Also look at the fish and try to imagine the size of its stomach, only feed enough to fill it. Any left over food will pollute the water and can create other problems. Most fish will prefer to eat several small meals a day rather than one large meal. Remember too, that there is no such thing as one best food. It is important to give your fish a variety of quality food, for example, flake, pellets, frozen, live food etc.

Only as much as they will consume in a few minutes. Some people complement flake food with other foods. This will vary depending on your breeds of fish.

I suggest the appropriate books by Tropical Fish Hobbyist, or the link below.

My city also has a tropical fish club. So you can look for a club like this in your area.

You should only feed the fish enough so that they eat all of the food put in the tank within 5 minutes - otherwise the fish food will start to polute the water. Twice a day should be enough to feed them, and only when the light is on.

It depends on the fish and how many. A pinch in the morning and a pinch in the evening of their food should be sufficient. Some fish like to have a piece of cucumber or lettuce to munch on once a week for a treat.

I have a 36 gallon oval front tank. community with angels and tetras mostly. I usually feed them twice a day. Feed then only as much as they can consume in a 5 minutes. If you are feeding to much, they eat what they can as they always act like they are starving but it wiol dirty the bottom faster and cloud your water. A clean tank is a happy tank. Alittle bit twice a day is fine.

Once or twice a day -usually daybreak and dusk as they would in wild, a few flakes at a time until they stop after 2 or 3 mins. Otherwise you will create more rotting food in your tank.

i feed mine once a day and only a pinch or two of flakes, you should only feed them what they are able to eat i.e. if it floats all the way to the bottom and they don't eat it then that was too much, so reduce the amount
