Why is it that in the rest of the world people still talk about her?
Argentina was the 7th country in the world when she and her infamous husband took the government and they left the country extremely poor after a few years of disgovernment.
All they did was destroy working culture to make people lazy and thinking that they could live without working, just on what the State could provide them.
By the way, she used to be a prostitute (this is a fact).
She was what Hugo Chavez is now.

Yes, Argentina used to have a larger economy than Canada until Peronism came along. I guess people always think their problems with be solved if the "right" leader comes along. I think it's fair to say there are a lot of parallels with Chavez.

Yes, she and Peron did ruin their country. I think her untimely death helped make a 'living martir' out of her. She was a prostitute, by necessity - you should not judge her for that.
