Its French...its their way of saying Airmail for when they send letters and all.
Of course presently its also a line of very nice clothes and designer hoodies in the US, the correct pronunciation is:
'AIR - UH - PUH - STAHL'"

don't accent the o. but say a long o
accent the post
don't accent the al (the al sounds the same as le- it is schwa l)
I don't think that there is an e on the end of that word.
