Been on I-95 lately?

not for another 50+ years.
Too energy ineffective with present technology.
Too risky.
The FAA has very strict standards for air travel to prevent planes/helicopters form falling from the sky.

I can only imagine how many people will be getting mangled by falling skycars that are undermaintained. Just take a look at how many cars end up broken down on the side of a big city highway, and then ask yourself what would happen if everyone of those cars had just fallen from the sky onto someone's house.

Not pretty.
