Go to the doctor...it could be nothing, but it really could be something serious. I had a placenta abruption at 16 weeks during my 3rd pregnancy, the doctor ordered bed rest... I did just that and my son is almost 7....You need to go....Good luck

I am 4 months pregnant and am watching for a job too. I am watching into temporary and seasonal work. Name centers are a just right idea too. I practically think bad being employed via anything that might be permanent and have to take a bunch of day off right away. I'm now not displaying that a lot but i plan on looking to cover it as so much as viable throughout the interview. Despite the fact that it's in opposition to the law to now not hire a pregnant woman it is lovely convenient to give you a different cause to not after they see the bump. Just right success. It is hard but i'm sure we will each to find anything

It is normal to have Braxton-Hicks contractions in the fifth month, but they shouldn't be painful. It's normal for the baby's kicks to start being a bit sharper, but those wouldn't always be in the same spot.
And pains related to digestion, heart burn and elimination are discomforts of pregnancy, but your description of where the pain is gives me pause.
If it really does feel like trapped gas, try drinking some fennel tea to help you pass wind. And then a cup of peppermint tea to soothe your stomach a few hours later. You might also try chewing gum to get things moving. It's given to women who have had c-sections to get their gas moving again, so it might just help a pregnant woman too.
If the pain starts to feel like it's rooted in a muscle or if it comes and goes according to a pattern, ignore the rest of this answer and go to your doctor or midwife immediately.

Don't let it stress you out, but make sure that you discuss it with your Dr. It could be braxton hicks...since they can start mid-pregnancy, and stretching of the ligaments is a possibility. On the other hand....it could just be gas. During pregnancy, the feelings that you would normally have with gas or heartburn can be totally different. Face it...your body is not the same as it was 5 months ago. What ever you do...do not stress! Stress is worse on your body and your baby then almost anything. Be calm, and see your Dr if it is bothering you.

This sounds like Braxtons Hicks contractions and they usually start around this month in pregnancy. They are just practicing for the big day. You should of course ask you doctor at your nest visit or call the doctors office and ask a nurse.
Have a great night!

I'm pretty sure it's gas. I had the same problem when I was pregnant. You just have to watch what you eat. It can also be when the baby moves just right. But if I were you I would go to see the doctor cuz it might be contractions. I hope it gets better for you and CONGRATS!

I had pains like that when I was in my 7th month. I would definitely go to the doctor though, because I ended up having a bruise on the inside of my uterus which caused me to go into early labor and they had to stop it. If you don't get this checked out, it could be something serious.
