The majuscule (capital) letter O is a picture of the eye of Assur.
The minuscule letter o is a picture of the an earth person's eye.

How about this:

Lower case of L is "l"

Uper case of i is also "I"

So why didn't they make them a little different, so we can distinguish whether it's an L or i ?. But after all, who really cares about those letters as long as it is used correctly in a word and to be readable to everyone ...

Its the same with C, and Z too. Some people think K does too. I personally think it doesn't matter that much.
