I'm currentlt drawing figures for my made up world type thing... and I was wondering how you could make someon look aged.. like 50's to 70's or 80's. And what are some characteristics of male and female figures? Do you know of any good drawing/instructional sites?

Skeletonization and gravity. The fleshy youth gives way to less flexible skin and gravity pulls things down. We see more of the skull and facial plains droop.

Check out a book of Rembrandt's work - he was a master at depicting the effects of age on the human face! He'd use subtle details like a small highlight on the inner eyelid to make the eye look watery and weak and not younthfully clear and healthy, sagging cheeks, pouchy eyelids, etc. It sounds gruesome but he really found beauty in the reality of what age does to us. His self portraits are an exceptionally detailed chronicle of aging.

Anatomically and figuratively each human being is different. If you want to master in aged drawing of younger one, you have to study a face i.e. eye, forehead, chin, nose etc and their changes. The example is to see a movie or collect a photographs of person's life cycle.

No i dont know any instructional site like this. sorry.

more lines on the face generally, and sort of sagging body. broken lines are good too. women would have more of an hourglass figure to men and of course are a little smaller heightwise generally.
