I was working on my Windows XP professional & all of a sudden there came a blue screen with a message that some harware is not installed properly,etc(i.e. Blue Screen Of Death). I tried to restart my PC (P-III) but CTRL+ALT+DEL was not working. Then I tried to open my PC with my other Window i.e. 98. It worked only for once but afterwords stopped working & was asking for system registry. Even I was unable to format PC. I had changed my hard disk & detached all hardwares but again same message was coming at the time of installation of XP. 98 were installed but graphics were a big problem in 98 as well. In today's date I have withdrawn everything from my PC be it is USB Card or Ethernet Cards. Cross Checked & reinstalled my RAM(128), & have even showed my PC to several Hardware engineers but now also I am recieving same problem while installing Window XP. Please help me!

Did you try changing your Hard Drive cable? Do you have the HDD and the CD Drive on the same cable?

I had a similar problem when both were on the same cable and had to use separate cables.

Do not fret, your computer hardware is fine and nothing has given up. just that your computer resources are insufficient for features of Windows XP.

First of all, Windows XP Requires a minimum of 256MB RAM, Recomended 512 MB as it uses a lot of graphics resources, and I believe u dont have an AGP card on your sustem.

Well it would be really difficult to RUN Windows XP on a 128 MB Ram with a PIII Precessor.

There is one solution to this problem, you can do a Custom Installation of XP and make sure to increase the PAGE file size on your system..Dedicate more space for virtual memory...

The best thing to do is to add another 128/256 MB RAM of the same speed along with the existing RAM and then do an installation of WINDOWS XP. this should be an ultimate solution.

You went to great lengths it sounds to reinstall XP. At what point does this blue screen come up? What does the error message say exactly? And finally, at boot, did you go to set up (F2) and check your system for configuration problems?

yes you can use xp home but if it comes up with aload of x0000x(*****) for eg what are they e-mail them on here you can remove the pci card the white slots on your board, it doesnt matter if you dont have service pack 2 or not ,that wouldnt cause it as thats what i use to have on my comp with a pci-e video i suggest try cleaning your disc make sure the memory is plugged in properly and hasnt come loose but if you can tell me that number i should be able to tell you the problem hope this helps IT Technican
