Not the primary language but most likely the most common second language spoken in this country. Borders can never be completely closed or sealed. World peace would most likely be our greatest protection against ill will crossing the borders. I wish one day - won't happen in my life time - that those crossing borders are tourists and travelers, rather than people escaping from one country and moving to another.

must be pretty ignorant to even assume that spanish would ever become the primary language in the USA.
