I like Creed's "With Arms Wide Open", since the lead singer wrote it for his newborn son. Any other ideas?

when you dream by barenaked ladies

With life just begun, my sleeping new son
Has eyes that roll back in his head
They flutter and dart, he slows down his heart
And pictures a world past his bed
Its hard to believe
As I watch you breathe
Your mind drifts and weaves

When you dream,
What do you dream about?
When you dream,
What do you dream about?
Do you dream about
Music or mathematics
Or planets too far for the eye?
Do you dream about
Jesus or quantum mechanics
Or angels who sing lullabies?

His fontanelle pulses with lives that hes lived
With memories hell learn to ignore
And when it is closed, he already knows
Hes forgotten all he knew before
But when sleep sets in
History begins
But the future will win

When you dream,
What do you dream about?
When you dream,
What do you dream about?
Are they colour or black and white,
Yiddish or english
Or languages not yet conceived?
Are they silent or boisterous?
Do you hear noises just
Loud enough to be perceived?
Do you hear del shannons runaway playing
On transistor radio waves?
With so little experience,
Your mind not yet cognizant
Are you wise beyond your few days?
When you dream,
What do you dream about?
When you dream,
What do you dream about?

Beautiful Boy by John Lennon
Close your eyes,
Have no fear,
The monsters gone,
He's on the run and your daddy's here,

Beautiful,
Beautiful, beautiful,
Beautiful Boy,

Before you go to sleep,
Say a little prayer,
Every day in every way,
It's getting better and better,

Beautiful,
Beautiful, beautiful,
Beautiful Boy,

Out on the ocean sailing away,
I can hardly wait,
To see you to come of age,
But I guess we'll both,
Just have to be patient,
Yes it's a long way to go,
But in the meantime,

Before you cross the street,
Take my hand,
Life is just what happens to you,
While your busy making other plans,

Beautiful,
Beautiful, beautiful,
Beautiful Boy,
Darling,
Darling,
Darling Sean.

It depends. Are you making it for him to listen to or play for the baby? If it is for him, put songs that remind you of your brother, along with some of his faves. I would also suggest songs like "Arms Wide Open," they describe love and feelings, but aren't sappy; songs a guy would listen to. I think he would love it. You should make a CD cover as well...maybe pics of you and your bro when you were young. Or pics of his new baby. Either way, it is coming from you, so he will love it. Good luck and congrats on the new baby! :o)

New borns like rock music. The loud bass reminds them of their mother's heart beat when the were still inside so you can use it to calm them down or even put the to sleep.

butterfly kisses (Bob Carlisle )

wonder! ( believe, fate, fate smiled and destiny laughed as she came to my cradle- "Know this child will be able,"
Laughed as my body she lifted,"Know this child will be gifted, with love, with patience, and with faith...
She'll make her way, she'll make her way. "People see me I'm a challenge to your balance. I'm over your
heads how I confound you and astound you to know I must be one of the wonders of God's own creation
and as far as they see, they can offer no explanation...
