before the Lord of the Rings trilogy came out, i'd have to say it was Gone with the Wind.
but now, i'd have to say that Scarlett and Rhett have to take a back seat to Gandalf and Frodo.

All time favorite is Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I do have too many other ones I just love though
Incredibles, Seven Samurai (the original not this new toon stuff), The Thin Man, Citizen Kane and Girl Shy, Forbidden Planet, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill. Lots of good films out there.

I've been thinking about this lately. At first I thought that it's hard to name ONE movie since there are so many films that I like for different reasons. I realised that I first have to decide what would be the criteria that defines my all time favourite movie.
I did come up with one criteria: there's only one movie that I have seen twice on the silver screen and I wouldn't mind seeing it for the third time. Only one in all the hundreds that I have seen and it's Brokeback Mountain.

If I have to pick ONLY one, I would pick The Princess Bride. However, I also love Spaceballs, The Producers (Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane), The X-Files: Fight the Future, Brigadoon and Easter Parade. Recently though, one movie that I can't stop watching whenever it is on is National Treasure. I think that is fast becoming one of my all time favorites.
