Doesn't matter. It's horizontal when the plane of all sides are exactly 90 degrees from vertical. Could be a point in front of you compared to a point behind you. Any combination of points in a 360 degree radius around you which are 90 degrees from vertical.

horizontal plane is a 2-dimensional entity n it has no vector attached to it... horizontal only means that a plane or line that is parallel to ground of reference, like for e.g. the table ur slouchin is horizontal to the ground on which ur feet r restin..

Do you mean as opposed to top to bottom? Yes, think of an horizon -- where the sun sets. It's left to right (or right to left) rather than up and down/top to bottom.
