Find a focal wall and paint it a rich color like a dark burnt orange, a deep red or a brown chocolate. The other 3 remaining walls paint them a light taupe or peanut butter. It will give the room a lot of warmth and depth. These colors are pretty easy to match to your sofa and chairs. Hope this helps....good luck!

"GOOD" is relative, subjective and can/should be a very personal choice.

I suggest that since you have to "live" in the room, and either endure, or enjoy it, its base color, its accessories, furnishings, etc., YOU pick a color you most enjoy and feel comfortable with. It's your home, you can be mild or wild, subtle or animated. It truly is up to you.

Go with what you like. The beauty of paint is that you can always re-do it.

do you have a colored rug or furniture? Choose a color that looks good with that. Otherwise, you can paint it any color you like. Light colors work well for small rooms and rooms without a lot of light; dark colors can be dramatic in a large, well-lit room

The #1 color in america is Linen White. It is an off white that blends with every other color. I like Benjamin Moore's linen white best.

What is your favorite color? I have my living room half red / half beige. Red was just too dramatic for me, but it went to well with my furniture, that I wanted an accent wall! It is just an idea.

If you don't want to go too drastic, try like an ivory color. If you like something more drastic, I've seen some awesome colors. Try burgundy, hunter green, tan, or even purple.
