If just Greenland melts completely, the oceans will rise 25 feet all over the world. So figure all those tall hotels you see on the beaches....they will be flooded up to about the 20th floor at least. Just Greenland melting would also turn the USA into 2 countries as the ocean would merge with the great lakes and the entire mississippi river valley all the way back down to the ocean again.

Man....he will just move more inland. But if the glaciers melt that means the earth is heating up. That sounds bad cause it means it kills off some animals and plants due to heat, weather change, worse storms, etc.

But melting all the ice would release more CO2 then is presently in the air. Enough so that every last breathing thing would die due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Scientists are starting to believe this is what brought down the dinosaurs....could of been a meteor or an earthquake, volcano, etc....but it was the warming of the earth in turn releasing more gas that is what actually killed them off.

And once you start to release the gas in quantity it begins to block out the sun which in turn starts to cool the planet and turns it into an ice age.

All this takes 100's and 1000's of years but we are speading it up to where the effects are effecting us now and will effect our children and their children.

It will flood all over the world and drown most of the people but not all. People would have to learn to live on boats and eat only fish if that happens. In a thousand years, our lives will be like those of the Eskimos in Alaska.
