Wait until your through your first trimester and you've had your first ultrasound...
That way you will know the feotus has developed properly, and their heart is beating normally etc.
But if your just too excited then y not just tell them!

i cant answer this for you - would be interested to know how pregnant you are - i am 5 weeks on sunday and faced with the same matter - although it will not be the first on either side. I am planning to tell my in laws at 6 weeks as they are going overseas for a while but otherwise i probably would have waited.

I see no harm in telling anyone - if anything does happen then at least they can be there for you. I am still getting used to the idea myself right now.

I am finding it hard not to tell my sister who has 3 kids but she has a big mouth so i am reluctant.

I'd wait until after your first trimester. That way, your risk of miscarriage drops drastically. It would be sad to tell everyone the good news then miscarry a short time later.

First grandchild? OMG...that baby is going to be SO spoiled! Congrats.

I found out that my sister (also married) was pregnant nine months before she was due. (I don't even try to figure out how they knew that early.) I didn't tell anyone when my wife was pregnant. I figured they would figure it out for themselves in the duration of the pregnancy.

the standard thing to do is just wait till youre out of that stage were you could miscarry, just wait till at least two or three months.

depends on how old you are.......If you're 18 or older, then go on and wait until you're ready, if you're 17 or younger, you'd better tell your parent's, because they are the one's to worry about!
