Midnight Club is the only actual Street Racing Franchise that Actully is street Racing. NFS has barreers around the tracks just like All other street racing games besides Midnight club.

It's not the only one, but it's certainly the ebst one out there. NFS does have a lot of barriers (Underground is a little more free during street races, but not conventional races). The only issue with MC is that is you try to take an outlandish path, you almost always lose cause the pc hardly ever takes a random path.

I disagree. Need For Speed started it, they pioneered Street Racing video games. They had street cars racing on city streets, with obsticle commuters and police cars nearly a decade before Midnight Club. Until recently games like this have been limited in their free-roam capibilities by technology. You just can't compair them.

However, Rockstar games deserves the credit for pioneering Free-roaming.

Yeah!! midnight club!! lol, i use to play m.c. 1 and 2. Fun game cept the bikes suck to control and use.
