How very modern of riddletricia to say that the lack of communication (cell phone, etc.) would be some kind of global crisis. While it would change the world as we know it, we'd simply see the world go back to a time when communications were sent by messenger (think postman) on wood plaques or vellum sheets (think paper) for a fee (think postage stamp). I know...hard to imagine...

It's really a tossup to say pandemic or multiple nuclear strikes. With a pandemic, you'll see huge population losses over a rather long period due to the illness itself, along with widespread panic. With nuclear, you'll see an immediate loss of life, with residual illness on the outskirts of the strikes, and a nuclear winter. Let's put it this way: Chances are that some people would survive a pandemic.

the worst problem i belive would be having an acute shortage of the essential element's which we take for granted an example --water...the elixer of life. it is alredy in great shortage all over the world; half of the world seeps with a thirsty throat ..........can you live with just 1 glass of water daily for all the purposese in the day strictly .......... shocking but a day will come when we might end being paid in jerrycan's of water for the work we do .....and war's over it ......... the same way it was in medeavial years over resources in the availibilty.............we have this great habit of only consumption but not of returning back ;iam not saying produce the thing's back but atleast be a being and let other being 's live too.it's there right too..........
and the other ting i seriously worry apart from the ongoing dominating war's and counter attacks with terrorism being he head of it............. it's global warming !! the one handed destroyer of lives we cant even stop do you think you can stop nature ........it's her and we have tested her enough .. it her time and this time if we do n't do some thing i asure you we possibly wont be able to do anything but only witness her raw power .......want examples ...volcanoes ....earthquakes... tsunamis.....hurricanes........tornadoes........ flash flood's.......rain storm's ..............and above all the all time great slow but steady rise of ocean level well the arctic and antartic's cant hold much onger and the day they give it up i can promise you ... we'll be surfing in our own street's from one door to another !!........ all the ocean coastal cities now booming in trade and being the centers of growth will all come to a halt...grinding halt....mind you that!!! well we may be able to avert a 3rd world war but not nature ...with whom are yu going to negotiate with.... tell her iam goin to give yu this many-- so and so bomb's .....million's of dollar's .....u expect she'll listen .............it's just a big wash away...just abig wash away!!!
