Al Gore , i think its a bit hypocriteical movie as his environmental record while in office (By the way, what was he in the White House for eight years?), and is this a ruse to dissuade the American public from hacks like the Competitive Enterprise Institute who are liable to react like this.

It's a good strategy for him IMHO. He makes himself out to be the saviour of planet earth, so anyone who disagrees with him wants to destroy the earth. I think the word is, "demagogue".
