my skin has been pretty clear all my life until this past year. I'm in my mid twenties, and it's not terrible breakouts, but I am always broke out. I have combination skin(dry cheeks, oily forehead, nose chin,)but there's not just one area I break out worse than another. I tried cetaphil, didn't help, now using neutrogena cream cleanser and cetaphil moisturiser, please help!

I use the Clear Skin Regimen at http://www.acne.org. It's a non-profit (so its free), the guy who created used to suffer from pimples himself. The system works wonders on my face, and its helped countless other people. The best part is that you don't have to order or buy any expensive treatments, everything you need for the Regimen can be found at your local drugstore. Find out more at the website.

In general, for clear skin it helps if you: don't touch/pick at your skin, drink lots of water, wash your hair frequently, change your pillowcases, exercise, wear little make-up (or if needed, hypo-allergenic makeup), and minimize stress.

ya,, dont eat greasy foods,, like no IN'n'OUt or mcD's and try to exercise and stay away from washing your tender broken out area too much...

dont use over the counter meds cuz if the cleansers actually cured the problem then neutrogena wouldn't sell anymore cleansers,, (its like the light bulb,,, they can make a lightbulb last for an extremely long time but would the lightbulb company make very much money? no.) i used some cleaner before and the problem persisted...

i went off of everything, but lived a healthy life and in about 2 months no more problems.... same with my cousin..

Sounds like you've hit a more stressful time in your life, and if that's what's up, then there's not a whole lot you can do about your present situation. Just ride it out. I had a similar situation. Don't remember how long it took to go away but it finally did. If you think it might be something else, then look at what you're eating (fried foods? chips? candies?). Also, do you wash your face regularly every morning and before you go to sleep every night? Women who wear makeup to bed - major bad. It could also be the weather. It could be that you're not getting enough fluids. Bottom line, stop thinking about it and just live your life.

I am 22 and aslo break out sometimes too. I use Neurtrogena Invigorating Scrub and Clearsil Ultra Vanishing Acne Treatment every day. I love the Clearisl and it is way better than it used to be. I have been using it for about 6 months and my face has never been better. I hope this helps!

Yeah cetaphil, just use it as a cleanser, that's it's best purpose. But to get rid of acne there's this stuff that I stockpile because they stopped selling is in my state. It's the best, Bye Bye Blemish Anti-Acne Serum. If you find it in your Walgreens or Longs start stockpiling.
