Ok In that movie The hills have eyes I don't understand the role of the gas station attendent who shoots himself in the head.

Who is he talking to saying he just can't do it anymore?

Who's Ear was that in the container?

Who was the girl in the Picture?

Why would he send them down that path?

Why wasn't he getting killed and what made him kill himself?

I would really love it if someone could explain that character, slash please don't be like you spoiled the movie cause i didn't tell u anything he hardly has a part...@least i don't think he has a important part?

just to let you know, the remake is really more gory than the wes craven's original.

for your first question, he's just thinking aloud, probably talking to himself and maybe, if one of the people affected by the nuclear bombing could hear him, all the better. he felt so guilty about leading people to these mutated people. in the original movie, the guy in the gas station was actually a father to one of the killers, so in a way, maybe he was a distant relative to them and helps them get through life by providing them human food. and in return, the mutated people give him their possessions (you could see their belongings in the bag left by the door in the first gas station scene).

the ear probably belonged to those that were killed in the first few minutes of the film. the girl in the picture was a probable victim too.

he wanted the carter family to stay in the main road/highway but when he found out that the woman (the mother of the baby in the film) saw the bag with the victims' possessions (if you i can remember correctly he was asked about a phone/cellphone and he denied it then the woman saw a cellphone in the bag), he kind of freaked out and told them about this shortcut that actually was the highway to hell.

he wasn't get killed because they live off of each other. the gas attendant gives them "normal" humans (to feast on) and the killers give him the things they get from the victims. again, he may be a distant relative or they may have had an agreement.

if you have any more questions about the movie, just e-mail me at macky_o_mac@yahoo.com. i'm sorry you feel offended about the movie and any other movie with the same content but i can't help it if i love horror movies. to each his own i guess. (oh, good thing you haven't seen wes craven's debut film yet - the house on the left, there are far more brutal scenes of rape, specifically in that one)... anyway, good day. :)

Ugh first of all I just want to say that I HATED this movie and and I'm now traumatized FOR LIFE!!! NEVER GOING ON A ROAD TRIP!!

Who is he talking to saying he just can't do it anymore?
>>He's talking to himself. He's so over wroth with grief and he's about to crack (jump off the deep end whatever you want to call it).

Who's Ear was that in the container?
>>Their latest victim.

Who was the girl in the Picture?
>> (not sure) One of their latest victims.

Why would he send them down that path?
>>To save his neck. His job is to lore innocent people to the trap.

Why wasn't he getting killed and what made him kill himself?
>>My guess is that is that they have an agreement he gets them human food and they won't eat him.
