they've been kind of off so far. i think that portugal might be able to take them.

England is simply being out-coached in every game. Sven is a terrible manager that cannot stick with a firm game plan. Sven is on his way out, thank god. England has the horses in the stable to pull off a win against portugal. Play Crouch and Rooney up front. If Crouch is looking like a pylon out there, stick the kid in (Walcott). Why bring him if you're not gonna play him? Sven's a wanker.

i think the England players have the confidence to do it but just not playing like they can win it when they get on the pitch which is a real shame. we have so many great players out there but none of them performing at their best, like lampard how many shots has he had and still hasn't scored he never normally has a problem, Rooney is getting better but had 2 defenders on him against Ecuador and was finding it difficult to get past them. one thing i do know is they can play better than they have been so I'm keeping everything crossed for the Portugal game which is gonna be tough maybe not as hard as i think tho they have 2 players suspended and c ronaldo maybe injured. Then after this game i am pretty sure we will have Brazil so who knows what will happen.
Come on England!

England+Portugal= Euro 2004 Repeat. Anyone wants to see Ricardo take the penalty or Beckham Orbit the ball to space. Whether what side you are on you know it will be a hard and fun game to watch. But, England have got better on penalties so I've heard on Sky Sports, but the team is lacking fun football. Portugal will win, but it will be 4-2 on Penalties. With Ricardo taking the winning penalty.

Owen and Rooney were gambles, i agree, and Owen didn't get fit, but Rooney has, and will shock the world on Saturday, as will Walcott. England 2-0, Portugal crying into their cerveza. Not sure we will the cup, though...

On paper england have as good a chance as any one bar Brazil maybe, But we play with no heart or conviction.Plus the manager is a tit.
England are a hard team to beat (don't conceed many goals) we
may not score many but could be penalties all the way to the final! If anything cause we are not going to bang loads of goals away.

I'm not sure if England will win the WC. But I do think they should win against portugal. If they play well then I don't think Portugal has a chance.

i totally dis agree wit you dude. england can go through semi finals even though lampard's accuracy sucks! their midfield is great. they will have better possesion in the ball game i think brazil will be champs.
also with the injury of C. Ronaldo, and the suspensions of other players for the england game. it sure gonna hurt portugal. ;p

Yeah - they get most of their points from free-kicks. Even if they beat Portugal, I can't see them being a force against Germany or Brazil .
