It would be to have all Americans pause and treat the day as a real celebration of our independence from Great Britain. We need to realize that it was the foresight of people who were basically "ahead of their time" who wanted to make American a free country and grant all people the right to do as they pleased. I would think we would want all people to feel free and not under the rule of tyranny. We have made the 4th just a family holiday. I don't think people really celebrate it for the right reason. I value freedom and thank those before me who fought so hard for it. I'm glad I'm not singing "God Save the Queen" this 4th of July!
