Besides it is close to equator and the ocean body it was surrounded by, the government's effort to keep the country as green as possible( so that more tourist can com). The respiration in the plants actually contribute most of the humidity in the air. It does not mean that plant help to trap water in the air, it just continuously adding water molecules in the air and make the concentration of water in the air so high that is it hard to take in anymore water molecule from human body.

singapore is so hot because of its tropical climate which includes humity. humity is bad in cold and hot conditions because its like a wet blanket laying on top of the island or country, or state.
