my space is dangerous...plus she is only doing it because she loves u and she doesnt want u to get hurt...listen to her and dont worry about how other people talk about it...there are creeps on my space and on anywhere else where u talk to people.if u do go on my space only talk to people u know...good luck

My mom did/ is doing the same thing to me.

I understand why she's doing it but it still makes me a bit mad to see all my friends who *aren't* getting kidnapped and such who have myspaces.

I know how you feel, but instead of just telling you not to do it, just realize the consequences if you keep myspacing and your mom finds out. Also, there are possibilities of danagerous people finding you and kidnapping you...

Making a profile private and not putting a lot of extremely personal and revealing pictures/ information on your site can help with this.

Well obviously if you are under your moms rules still you are not an adult yet. If you are not an adult and mature enough to take care of yourself you really shouldn't be on myspace. You should be proud to have such a caring mother that is involved in your life. She is just looking out for your well being.

As a parent of a 17 year old son, I can understand your mother's point of view. My son actually took me to that site and showed me his "space". Your mother is only looking out for your saftey. There are some questionable people on the net. Try what my son did see if it works.

I really don't think myspace is a very good site. Your mom is probably right not to let you go on that site. There are many perverts out there looking for younger females. They are sick and will find you if they want to. Myspace just makes it easier for them.

There are some major creepy pedophiles on there, my friend. I have re-posted a few bulletins of missing teen girls that were last in contact with guys from MySpace. There was a college girl here in Virginia that was raped and viciously murdered by a guy she met on MySpace. Just leave it alone, ok?

well, honestly, myspace is a waste of time and will suck away your soul. you are young adn should escape such horrible wastes of time and go do something. make your mind grow.

you can get a private account if you say you are 14. who ever tried to get on you buddy list has to know your last name, or something that shows they know you. private accounts do not show any public information. have your mom set up your page with you, and if oyu need to, say she can look at your page occationally to see you haven't posted anything dangerous on there.

still, i say time outside is better spent.

oh, and all those people getting kidnapped and such? honestly, they put themselves in a dumb situation by meeting strangers off the internet. don't talk to stangers. period. i get creeps writing to me, and i ignore them. no harm done.
